Country Self-Assessment

The purpose of the Country Self-Assessment (CSA) is to support key stakeholders at national level to jointly assess progress toward strengthening national systems and collaboration for water, sanitation, and hygiene services. Used in more than 20 countries, this tool allows for a qualitative assessment of the dynamics of the sector, the progress towards national targets and promotes stakeholder alignment at national level.

In preparation for the 2025 Sector Ministers’ Meeting, it intends to establish links, identify best practices and promote exchange on key topics. Per theme, participants are invited to list key actions to strengthen national systems and collaboration for water, sanitation, and hygiene services.

The SWA Secretariat will be available for support throughout the completion of the Country Self-Assessment and the Country Overviews. For any query, please contact Filipa Raimundo at: filipa.raimundo@sanitationandwaterforall.org.
