With the support of the Spanish government and our partners, we will work with Ministers from around the world to tackle the complex challenges related to water, sanitation, and climate in their regions.

Launch of the 2025 Sector Ministers' Meeting in Madrid
On Thursday 24 April we officially kicked off the six-month preparatory process.

On 11 December, Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) convened two Post–Sector Ministers’ Meeting (SMM) Webinars bringing together around 138 participants from government institutions, development partners, civil society, regulators, academia, utilities, and the private sector. The webinars focused on how countries and partners can translate the political momentum generated at the SMM in Madrid into concrete, time-bound actions at regional, national and institutional levels. Discussions centered on practical early steps, mechanisms for alignment, and ways to strengthen policies, budgets, and implementation pathways.

El 11 de diciembre, Saneamiento y Agua para Todos (SWA) organizó dos seminarios web posteriores a la Reunión de Ministros del Sector (RMS) que reunieron a alrededor de 138 participantes de instituciones gubernamentales, socios para el desarrollo, sociedad civil, entes reguladores, academia, empresas de prestación de servicios y el sector privado. Los seminarios se centraron en cómo los países y socios pueden traducir el impulso político generado en la RMS en Madrid en acciones concretas y con plazos definidos, tanto a nivel regional, nacional como institucional. Los debates se enfocaron en pasos iniciales prácticos, mecanismos de alineación y maneras de fortalecer políticas, presupuestos y rutas de implementación.

Le 11 décembre, Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) a organisé deux webinaires post-Réunion des Ministres du Secteur (RMS) qui ont rassemblé environ 138 participants issus d'institutions gouvernementales, de partenaires de développement, de la société civile, d'organismes de réglementation, du monde universitaire, des services publics et du secteur privé. Les webinaires ont porté sur la manière dont les pays et les partenaires peuvent traduire la dynamique politique générée lors de la RMS de Madrid en actions concrètes et assorties de délais précis aux niveaux régional, national et institutionnel. Les discussions ont porté sur les premières mesures pratiques, les mécanismes d'alignement et les moyens de renforcer les politiques, les budgets et les voies de mise en œuvre.

Os seminários se concentraram em como os países e parceiros podem traduzir o impulso político gerado na RMS em Madri em ações concretas e com prazos definidos, tanto em nível regional, nacional quanto institucional. Os debates se concentraram em etapas iniciais práticas, mecanismos de alinhamento e maneiras de fortalecer políticas, orçamentos e rotas de implementação.
